Yes, all of our caregivers will be required to have a valid driver’s license during work hours and a print out of MVR, to check driving history.

If I am dissatisfied with my caregiver, can I request a replacement?

Yes, we want all of our clients to be comfortable with the care they are receiving. We ask that the clients allow us at least 48 hours to provide a replacement.

What happens in the rare event that Grand Valley Nursing cannot find coverage due to unforeseen circumstances?

Grand Valley Nursing will notify our client and/or family as soon as possible. We will try our best to find coverage and usually have PRN contractors on standby for emergent coverage. The Supervisory Nurse will also cover any emergent shifts if the weather and availability permits. If there is a portion of time that was not covered, the client is eligible for a refund for that portion.

Does Grand Valley Nursing keep a logbook in my home to document services performed?

Who is eligible to receive care through Grand Valley Nursing?

We do our best to accommodate all conditions and disabilities. If there is a safety concern for any of our clients and/or staff, this will be addressed before care is established.

What can I expect on my first home health care visit?

One of our RNs will take care of all initial home care visits regardless of care package selected. The RN will learn the care recipient’s daily routine and get to know them. All care plans will be completed by the supervisory nurse at the time of admission prior to starting care.

Are the CNAs/ Medical Assistants supervised and elavulated by an RN?

Yes, CNAs/ Medical Assistants will be supervised by the RN that has been asigned to the specific care recipient. They will report to their assigned RN on all matters that need to be brought to the RN’s attention. All houses will have an RN present at least once a week to assess client conditions and make changes if necessary. Clients who have chosen a standard care package will have an assigned house RN who will take weekly shifts to ensure client care needs are being met. Clients who opt for Plus, and/or Grand care packages will have RN/LPN visits during every shift.
