Frequently Asked Questions

All Grand Valley Nursing Caregivers are required to carry malpractice insurance fidelity bonds to prevent theft and cover unanticipated damages. Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions:

Does the Agency require caregivers to carry photo ID?

Yes, all of our caregivers will be required to have a valid driver’s license during work hours and a print out of MVR, to check driving history.

If I am dissatisfied with my caregiver, can I request a replacement?

Yes, we want all of our clients to be comfortable with the care they are receiving. We ask that the clients allow us at least 48 hours to provide a replacement.

What happens in the rare event that Grand Valley Nursing cannot find coverage due to unforeseen circumstances?

Grand Valley Nursing will notify our client and/or family as soon as possible. We will try our best to find coverage and usually have PRN contractors on standby for emergent coverage. The Supervisory Nurse will also cover any emergent shifts if the weather and availability permits. If there is a portion of time that was not covered, the client is eligible for a refund for that portion.
